Abstract

Regional Original Revenue has a very important role in supporting city development, including the billboard tax sector which has the potential to make a significant contribution. However, the low awareness of business actors in fulfilling billboard tax obligations is a major challenge that must be overcome. This problem has an impact on the suboptimal realisation of billboard tax which has an impact on the minimal contribution to regional development. This article aims to increase the awareness of business actors regarding the importance of billboard tax through effective education and socialisation approaches. The service method used includes structured socialisation and education. The results of this programme showed an increase in awareness of business actors in fulfilling billboard tax obligations, which contributed directly to the increase in local revenue. To achieve maximum results, the local government needs to continue to improve intensive education and socialisation programs to business actors. Businesses are also expected to be more active in fulfilling their billboard tax obligations, considering that the tax contribution plays an important role in improving the quality of life of the community through sustainable development.
